Personal Emergency Response System

Personal Emergency Response System is a monitoring device that connects older individuals or individuals with disabilities to a 24 hour call center with the push of a button. The transmitter is typically worn around the neck or on the wrist. It sends a signal to a receiver that is connected to the home or cellular telephone line. When you or a loved one pushes the button, the staff at the call center decides whether to call the ambulance or family/friend.
